When I die I want to dance among the stars

I haven't blogged in a while because something happened around two weeks ago and I was sad, so I only stayed home and watched TV and did nothing, or at least nothing interesting that should be mentioned here. But my school started this week and I've pretty much caught up with life again.

I actually had a trip to Da Lat right after my last blog entry but that was pretty much my worst trip ever so I really don't want to talk about it now. Except I bought a new hat which is not very usable in Saigon especially in this season, but well, I've made all kinds of bad decisions on this trip, buying a hat could be the least stupid one.

I just went to a salon that's why my hair looked lovely
Also I think last time I forgot some very nice stuff among the things I bought in Hongkong. First of all this set of Kenzo perfume

I've wanted Kenzo perfume since forever but like, I don't use perfume very often so I don't want to invest much money on it. When I saw this set in a store in Hongkong with a sale up to 60% I knew I had to have it. And these bottles smell so good, I just tried one out today. It literally smells like flowers, so natural and fresh, not very heavily scented but lingers like you have a flower hidden in your pocket. I am totally in love!

Second of all, I don't think I've shown this lovely necklace

Haha my bed sheet looks nice
It's actually a bunch of such gorgeous rings I would definitely buy each one of these separately. I'm really happy that I bought it, especially after I saw how well it went with my clothes and other accessories.

Finally, I went shopping the other day with my bestie and we got ourselves some very cute stuff, which made both of us very happy.

I bought a dark grey tank top with really thin white stripes to mix with another shirt I bought in Hongkong, and then I got this lovely floral laced top

Isn't it just so cute and feminine?
which I wore to class today

I also found a new owl necklace

You see, the thing about collecting a specific item of accessories is that at some point you'll find it very difficult to find a new piece of that item that you actually think is unique and cute. Just like how I've had too many owl necklaces that recently I couldn't find any new one to buy until this little baby. It was pretty much love at first sight and I was like, I must have it!

It's just perfect, everything I want and more!
It's soon to be weekend and I think this week has gone pretty well as far as I care. I'm still sad but I know I can't just spoil my own bad habit and annoy everyone else. It's gonna be better real soon. This too shall pass.

I thought the sun rose in your eyes

So I've been back from my Hongkong trip a week ago but my laziness has got the better of me (again), and because I've got the memory span as short as my cat's tail (you'll get it in a bit, just know it's really, really short) I can't recall all the things I've intended to blog when I first got home. Well what I absolutely have to say is that, Hongkong is such a weird place.

First, it was hands down one of my most fun and comfortable trips for a while, despite how small the hotel rooms were. And yeah I mean hotel rooms, as in plural, because I got to stay at 2 hotels in 4 days, and it was more fun than inconvenient. In the hotels there were these small guide cards for tourists

There were so many of them
And I thought it was so clever and convenient. It's easier to carry around than a brochure and because it's once card for each location it probably is more detailed or more focused. I don't know but I was really impressed with this.

I was also impressed by how many types of money are used in Hongkong. And by types of money I don't mean like many currencies. They're all Hongkong Dollars, but there are at least 2 designs for each money bill.
4 different $20 HKD bills, all usable
And finally, the weirdest thing about Hongkong is how difficult it it to find internet connection, and how complicated it is to use it once you've found one. In hotels you have to pay $100 HKD for each day of internet connection and they don't have wi-fi, just cables, so I couldn't use it on my phone anyways. Out of 5 coffee shops and diners there could be like 2 that have wi-fi but the proxies are way too complicated and annoying for 20 minutes using the internet (Yeah, each time you set the proxy you can use the internet for 20 minutes. WTF?!)

One of the best part of the trip surely was visiting Disneyland. I totally loved the design and how detailed they were. I spent most of the time wandering around looking at stores and signs, even toilet signs and trash bins. And then after sunset they turned the lights on and it was totally magical. Never a thing out of place, different styles for each area. My distorted OCD was satisfied.

When I was in Hongkong the weather was very chilly and all the shops were selling mostly winter clothes. All the clothes I could buy was t-shirts (only one) and jumpers (a few), the ones that are less heavy and can actually be used in Vietnam sometimes when it's cool.

However, I did get to buy 3 pairs of boots, which could totally make up for anything.
Absolutely my favorite purchase on the trip. Now I wear it with almost everything: shorts, dress, jeans, leggings, etc.

I also bought a backpack, which I wanted to buy forever but never found one that I like
And while choosing souvenirs I got myself a new key chain
My old key chain broke and I couldn't resist this cutie right at first sight
